On our way back stopped to take photos of the bicycle taxi – taxi’s in rural Rwanda. Simone took a ride! Fun to experience the rural lifestyle. This was followed by a gorgeous lunch of pizza and soup. The vegetarian soups were delicious, and I made a comment to Alice, before I knew it, I had a scroll with all the recipes. Got to love the attentiveness and service. Glenn and I opted for ntonga massages – these are deep tissue massages that also use sticks, sometimes referred to as an African massage. 90 minutes of bliss and some pain. Those sore muscles need this after our “death march”. 7pm we all gathered for sundowners and met two couples who had recently arrived. Then to our surprise, we were escorted to the wine cellar for a private dinner. Aimable was on top form and took care of us… The main was spicey chicken with cauliflower rice, back choi and mushrooms. Delicious!!! Wrapped up with passion fruit souffle and ice cream. Wayne was the only taker and loved it. We shared stories with Aimable and had great debates about various topical issues while we enjoyed night caps and wine. A perfect way to end our time in Bisate.
