Spent most of the morning on a jeep – did see lions again and again. It took about 2.5 hours to get to Lake Manyara airport where we waited for our next ride to the Crater. That was another 1.5 hours with a stop to buy a permit and again at the view point for a photo opportunity!!! We were happy to reach the lodge. It was spectacular – looks a bit like a hobbit village assuming hobbits live in Morocco… In fact, each room is a cottage and styled after a Masai hut. Inside is opulent, almost tacky but managing to stay classy. Even have a wine cellar for wine pairing dinners and chandeliers throughout. Of course, the backdrop is Ngorongoro Crater and the buffalo and zebra are constantly walking across the grass and making for an incredible view. We opted for a quiet afternoon relaxing and enjoying the environment and each other’s company. The next 2 days were going to be long and full and some down time was quite desirable!!!

A favourite place, like a garden of eden but with dangerous mega fauna hiding in the long grass
Hoped this was on your itinerary
